IGCSE(International General Certificate of Secondary Education) เป็นประกาศนียบัตรเพื่อศึกษาต่อในระดับที่สูงขึ้น ซึ่งในประเทศไทยได้รับการยอมรับว่าเทียบเท่าวุฒิ ม.6 โดยมีกระทรวงศึกษาธิการของไทยรับรองวุฒิ นักเรียนอายุ 14-16 ปีทุกคนสามารถลงสอบได้ IGCSE เป็นหลักสูตรของประเทศอังกฤษที่ได้รับการยอมรับจากทั่วโลก นักเรียนที่สอบ5 วิชาของ IGCSE ผ่านด้วยเกรด C ขึ้นไปสามารถนำวุฒิไปสมัครเรียนต่อมหาวิทยาลัยภาคอินเตอร์ในประเทศไทยได้ ซึ่งการสอบมี 2 แบบ คือ CORE และ EXTENDED และมีหลักสูตร IGCSE มีรายวิชาให้เลือกสอบจาก 5 กลุ่มวิชา คือ กลุ่มวิชาภาษา(Language) กลุ่มวิชามนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์(Humanities & Social Science) กลุ่มวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์(Science) กลุ่มวิชาคณิตศาสตร์(Mathematics) และกลุ่มวิชาทักษะวิชาชีพ(Creative, Technical and Vocational)

IGCSE stands for International General Certificate of Secondary Education developed by University of Cambridge International Examinations. There are more than 70 subjects and 30 languages available to register. The examination is graded on the scale of a* to G and U for ungraded. The students will have to pass 5 subjects with the grade from A to C in each subject to receive the certificate. Students are able to choose to take CORE paper or EXTENDED paper. Those who take core paper will only gain the highest mark of C even though they answer all the questions correctly, but the students taking extended paper are capable to achieve the maximum score of A* because EXTENDED paper is simply harder than CORE paper. In Thailand, this certificate is equivalent to high school diploma and available to be used for university registration.
